Fifth Avenue Welcomes Santa for 60th Holiday Parade
McKeesport’ s 60th annual Salute to Santa Parade kicked off the holiday season on November 22 with special appearances by local officials, sports teams, community groups, public safety departments, and of course, the man of the hour – Santa, himself.
This year’ s grand marshal was the McKeesport Lions Club, a local group of dedicated volunteers who dedicate their time to providing services and entertainment to the McKeesport community and beyond. In partnership with the City and Allegheny Regional Asset District, the Lions are responsible for McKeesport’ s popular Summer Concert Series and Renzie Rib Fest.
This year couldn’ t have brought better weather! Emcees Tom Leturgey, Jason Togyer, and Jen Moslander shared information about participants with hundreds of spectators. Summer Ura of the McKeesport Lions Club and Ryenn Thomas of the NAACP McKeesport Unit were named princess and queen.
