Literacy Lunch with Bluey, sponsored by the AIU McKeesport Family Center, McKeesport Healthier Communities PartnerSHIP and Mayor Mike Cherepko, featured storytime, singalongs, dancing, lunch, and giveaways. Children also posed for photos with Bluey herself!

McKeesport Officials Speak on Government Processes
It’ s an annual tradition for Pennsylvania’ s 45th Senatorial District to host a student government seminar at Penn State Greater Allegheny. This year, the event was facilitated by Senator Nick Pisciottano— now taking the lead on an event he attended many times as a member of the state House of Representatives.
On May 8, Mayor Mike Cherepko joined past and present legislators, lobbyists, and other experts in panel discussions on how state government impacts communities. City Administrator Tom Maglicco served as moderator for McKeesport Area and Elizabeth Forward students.
