Dr. David English introduces Dr. Joseph Falbo
F
or the past 30 years, Dr. David English has been providing
patients in the Mars area with the best eye care possible.
And, by taking measured steps, he’s ensured that his level
of dedication and service to his patients will continue for
the foreseeable future.
“Later this fall, Dr. Joseph Falbo, a close personal friend of
mine, will be taking over the business for me as
I retire to continue my battle with lung cancer,”
Dr. English said. “I’ve known Dr. Falbo for 30
years and we helped each other design our
practices, so he’ll know how things run here
from day one.”
Dr. English was diagnosed in January of 2016.
Now, more than 18 months later, he’s decided
that selling the practice to a trusted and
equally-skilled doctor is the best course of action to continue the
success of the practice.
“You can’t be away from your business for more than a year
and have it continue to grow,” Dr. English said. “I have such a
terrific staff and associate doctor, Dr. Dillner, all of whom have
been with me for such a long time. It was important to me to find
someone who practiced like me and who would be as dedicated
to the practice as I am to succeed me for my patients, my staff
and my practice.”
Dr. Falbo also has been in practice for 30 years, but in the
South Hills of Pittsburgh. He’s been working several days a
week at Family Eyecare North, getting to know the staff and any
patients who have been in during this time. This fall, he will be
there on a permanent basis, granting Dr. English the peace of
mind that his patients will be well taken care of, and his practice,
that he built, will continue on.
“The number-one priority is to keep our focus on delivering
eye care to the entire family–from children who may have
a lazy eye or other needs up to and including retired family
members,” Dr. Falbo said. “To accomplish this, we are the only
