High School Students Present ‘ The Drowsy Chaperone ’
Mars Area High School students presented the musical “ The Drowsy Chaperone ” at 7:30 p . m . on Friday , March 4 , and at 1 p . m . and 7:30 p . m . on Saturday , March 5 .
The Tony Award-winning show brings to life music from a cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical . As the music plays , it becomes intertwined with the stories of two lovers on the eve of their wedding , a bumbling best man , a desperate theater producer , a not-sobright hostess , four gangsters posing as pastry chefs , a misguided “ Don Juan ” and a “ drowsy ” chaperone .
