The district has hosted multiple PIAA boys soccer, girls soccer and girls volleyball playoffs; WPIAL playoff games for baseball, football, boys lacrosse, soccer, softball and girls volleyball; and District 7 track & field championships. Heinauer says he looks forward to the excitement of game day, but also values the intensity that encompasses planning throughout the week. “It takes a lot of preparation to play on Friday night,” he explains. “And victories are great, but no matter what happens, we don’t dwell on wins or losses. Our philosophy is that tomorrow is going to happen, whether you win or lose. We start to prepare immediately for the following week.
