Need Weeknight Care for an Orthopaedic Injury?

Hurt your shoulder playing pickleball or rolled your ankle while running? If you want care soon after your injury, UPMC has a convenient option for you.
A walk-in orthopaedic injury clinic is available on weeknights at UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex. Simply walk in between 5 p. m. and 9 p. m. Monday through Friday to be seen same day by a provider who specializes in diagnosing and treating orthopaedic and sports medicine injuries.
What to Expect When You Stop By
When you make your way into the UPMC Lemieux Sports Complex through the UPMC entrance, you’ ll speak with the front desk staff about your injury, and a member of our team will direct you to a waiting room to see the provider. Patients will then receive appropriate imaging, get an evaluation by an orthopaedic physician, and leave with an individualized plan of care.
What Stands Out About the Walk-in Clinic?
“ What’ s really special about this clinic is our ability to provide comprehensive, complete care on the spot due to the specialty, experience, and education of the providers,” says Jeanne Doperak, DO, a primary care sports medicine physician with UPMC Sports Medicine who serves as one of the walk-in clinic physicians.“ With a high-quality first appointment, it creates one less step for patients so they can get back to what they want to do sooner.”
