The group rehearses on Saturday afternoons at Duquesne University’s Mary Pappert School of Music. The TRYPO Young Peoples Orchestra was invited to Carnegie Hall to share music from its 2019-2020 season, themed The Elements. Selections will include Arturo Marquez’ “Conga Del Fuego Nuevo,” New York City composer Michael Markowski’s “City Trees,” and Igor Stravinsky’s “Firebird Suite.” “An experience like playing in Carnegie Hall will allow the (musicians) to broaden their perspective of musical performance and the effect they can have in playing beyond our own community,” said Brian Worsdale, TRYPO music director. “This type of immersion experience is so valuable to young musicians.”
