THREE FIRE UNITS WIN
MARS BANK’S FACEBOOK
CONTEST AND RECEIVE
DONATION
As part of Mars Bank’s Step Forward
campaign, three local fire units received
donations from the bank as a result of
their involvement in the Step Forward
for First Responders Facebook contest.
The campaign is a two-month celebration
of first responders, active military, and
veterans. It ran from Sept. 11 to Nov. 11.
The contest was a way for the
community to vote for their favorite first
responder unit. Over 20 police, fire, and
emergency service units that serve the
Mars Bank banking centers participated.
Individuals could vote once per day and
over 400 votes were cast. The winning
units were:
· West Deer Volunteer Fire Company
#3, which received the most votes.
· North Hampton Volunteer Fire
Department which was runner-up.
· Middlesex Volunteer Fire Company,
which won the random drawing of
all units who received votes.
West Deer #3 received a $500 donation
while North Hampton and Middlesex
each were awarded $250 from Mars Bank.
