The contest was a way for the community to vote for their favorite first responder unit. Over 20 police, fire, and emergency service units that serve the Mars Bank banking centers participated. Individuals could vote once per day and over 400 votes were cast. The winning units were: · West Deer Volunteer Fire Company #3, which received the most votes. · North Hampton Volunteer Fire Department which was runner-up. · Middlesex Volunteer Fire Company, which won the random drawing of all units who received votes.
