Choose Your SUMMER ADVENTURE!

Summer camps have been a staple of Little House Learning Center for nine of the 11 years they’ ve been in business and this summer’ s programming is going to be bigger and better than ever.

“ Our summer camp program is intended to provide an active, exciting, tech-free summer full of adventures for kids” Co-owner Jennifer Osterman said.“ It’ s a way for them to engage with friends and do activities to keep their minds and bodies on the go throughout summer. We offer camps that are sure to excite the sports enthusiast, the game show inclined and even the baking novice in your child!”
Parents have their choice of 10 different week long camps to participate in. Each camp runs from Monday thru Friday with an option to enroll for three to five days each any week. With campers from Kindergarten through 5th grade enrolled, the camp counselors work to group campers together based on age as well as provide the oldest campers with junior counselor rights and responsibilities. Twice weekly, Tuesday and Thursday, campers will be taking field trips to places of interest to keep campers on their toes and fill each day with excitement and fun. Camp Little House offers a balance of games and FUN with outdoor time, canoeing, fishing, activities and lots of SUN!
Do you have an athletically inclined camper or are you simply looking to keep your kids active and on the go this summer!? Choose from Sports Camp, Nerf Challenge Camp, or Olympic Games 2018! Weeks full soccer, lacrosse, bowling, high jumps, target practice, obstacles courses and accuracy events will keep the campers moving! With whole camp cornhole tournament to a counselor vs. camper nerf battle to finish it off, these camps will create memories to last a lifetime!
Heard of the game show“ Paradise Run”? Little House Run is an interpretation of this fantastic gameshow! With quirky challenges and messy obstacles, this camp will bring on the laughter. Additionally, Little House’ s Game Show Camps with homegrown versions of“ The Price is Right,”“ Jeopardy,” Clue and a life-size version of Angry Birds will keep campers on their toes as they compete for bragging rights.
Rodeo Week is a camp for horse lovers. Little House once again has partnered with nearby Willowbrook Stables for a summer program that lets kids ride horses for the fun of it and for various rodeo-based activities such as rope‘ em and hog-tie‘ em style camp games.
For the culinary fans, Cupcake Wars will give kids the chance to tie on the aprons and create their dream cupcakes for a panel of judges drawn from other campers. Kids will create their own fondant, learn the basics of baking and explore techniques in the kitchen that will give them the foundation for a lifetime of good cooking.
“ Summer should be a time of fun and friends.” Osterman said.“ Our Camp provides opportunities to fill summer with tech-free fun, you bring the friends! After-all, that’ s what summer is all about!”
If any or all of these camps sound like something your child would love to participate in this summer, registration is already underway and runs through May 1. Parents of currently enrolled Little House students get priority registration. And while there are plenty of slots, registering as early as possible is the only way to guarantee your child has a chance to experience the unique camps that only Little House has to offer.
