‘South Hills Lights’ – Community-Wide
Chanukah Event
Join the community on Monday, Dec. 3, at
5:30 p.m., on Potomac Avenue in Dormont
for indoor and outdoor activities, lighting of a
12-foot Menorah, a musical laser light show, live
music, latkas, doughnuts, prizes and festivities
for all ages to celebrate Chanukah. Admission is
free. RSVP appreciated but not required. Those
who preregister will receive a free entry into the
Grand Chanukah Raffle. The event is a project of
Chabad of the South Hills with co-sponsor South

Israel at the Crossroads

reading program! Each child will have the
Children and Teens at the Library

Weekly Programs
Arts and Crafts: Join in making various arts
and crafts at the library. Each week we will spend
time learning about a new style of art, followed by
a free time of creating! Mondays, 4:45-5:45 p.m.,

Coding & Gaming at the Library: Stop
by the library after school for a free coding
experience! Interact with Scratch, Python, and
more to create games and activities for all to
share! Tuesdays, 3:30-4:30 p.m., (Ends Dec. 18)
Toddler Time: Bring your little waddlers to
the library for a time of crafting, playing, listening
to music, and reading stories! This program is
appropriate for 2 to 4-year-olds. Wednesdays,
3:30-4 p.m. (Ends Dec. 19)
Homework Zone: Need help with your
homework? Stop in the library to get help from
Ms. Heather, a former teacher! She can help
with any project or assignment you may have.
Wednesdays, 5-6 p.m. (Ends Dec. 19)
Open Play: Stop in to the downstairs area
of the library during this time to play with toys.
There are puzzles, activity tables, blocks, games,
and more! This is open to children of all ages.
Thursdays, 11 a.m.-11:30 a.m. (Ends Dec. 20)
Readers Theater: A fun program that mixes
reading and performing in a theater production!
The group spends time reading a script, learning
lines, and telling a story. The final performance
will be filmed and shared with the community!

Gingerbread House Making: Gather your
family to make a gingerbread house together!
The library will provide the graham crackers
and icing; bring candy to decorate your house.
Please register for this program to ensure enough

Holiday Party: Join in a night of holiday
stories, games, crafts, and more! The whole family
is welcome, so bring everyone. Tuesday, Dec. 11,
at 6:30 p.m.
Family Movie Night: Join us for a Christmas
Triple Feature!! We will be showing three holiday
classics, each lasting roughly 30 minutes long!
Light refreshments will be served. Tuesday, Dec.

Candy Bar Bingo: Join in a fun-filled evening
of Bingo, food, raffles, and more! Each family
is asked to bring a “king-size” candy bar to help
