Dress for Success Event for Women
On Monday , June 5 , from 4 to 6 p . m ., Dress for Success is coming to the library and bringing its mobile unit filled with clothing and accessories suitable for women who need interview , business or training attire . There is no cost for this service . Location : Back parking lot . In case of inclement weather , the event will be held inside . No registration is required .
Made into Movies Movie / Book Club
A movie club that asks , “ Was the book really better than the movie ?” A short discussion period follows the film . Light refreshments are provided . We meet quarterly on the first Tuesday of the month at 1 p . m . Books are available at the library . Vegetable Gardening Barb Kline from the Penn State Master Gardener Program will be at the library on Tuesday , June 13 , at 7 p . m . to talk about vegetable gardening . This class will cover the basics of planning your vegetable garden , preparing the soil , selecting plant and seed varieties ( including hybrids and heirlooms ), starting plants from seed , planting , tending your plants , troubleshooting problems , harvesting , extending the season , getting the most out of small plots , and putting the garden to bed for the winter . The presentation is 45 minutes with questions following .
