CHICAGO : TEEN EDITION

Keystone Oaks High School paid homage to Vaudeville recently with its production of “ Chicago : Teen Edition .” This spectacular production highlights what ’ s best in musical theater .

It was the second year for Sonya Caceres to direct at KOHS . More than just a musical , Caceres views the production as an opportunity for connection .
“ My goal is to build community where we share creativity with one another … It is such a special experience with students involved in a lot of aspects of the show .”
The show was truly a gathering of creatives , with sets developed by Hannah Goforth and built by KOHS shop teacher Craig Wetzel and students .

The fabulous costumes were mostly assembled by Caceres herself , with some help from Kim of Spotlight Costumes , and the choreography was by Point Park students Ellie Nichlas and Emily Spencer , along with Casey Stahl . The iconic music was directed by KOHS music teacher William Eibeck . Props were designed and created by Stage Manager Megan Bonenberger , cameras by Martin Caceres , and sound by sophomore Rayna Groves with the stage crew headed up by River Patten . Caceres says that parents were also vital in making things run smoothly , with volunteer hours and donations .
The combined efforts of students , parents , and industry professionals resulted in amazing entertainment ! n PHOTOS BY SOB SHOTS .
