Cook the Book Discussion Group
Do you love reading cookbooks and making new recipes ? If so , then this is the club for you !! We pick the cookbook or theme ; you select and make a recipe from that cookbook or theme .
Cook the Book will take place Wednesday , May 25 , and Wednesday , July 27 . Join us for some fun eating and book discussion . Check our Facebook page or sign up for our emails to find out what cookbooks we will be discussing .

Pop-Up Programs All Ages
Keep an eye on our social media accounts to see when we are having pop-up programs ! We are hoping to be able to have programs in the yard of the library and down at the Myrtle Parklet ! A variety of crafts and activities will be available during these times .
Miss Amber will be out of the library from Saturday , July 16 , through Monday , July 25 . No programming will take place .

PROGRAMS AND EVENTS FOR KIDS , TWEENS AND TEENS
Bookworm Babies – Mondays at 11 a . m . Runs until May 16 , and June 13 – August 8
Bounce , sing , and hear a story , all while working on the earliest skills of literacy at this storytime ! Specially designed for caregivers and their children 6-18 months . Registration is not required . The library will be closed July 4 .
Time for Tots – Wednesdays at 11 a . m . Runs until May 18 , and June 15 – August 10
A storytime that is specially designed for toddlers and their grown-ups ! We will hear stories , sing songs , and may have a special activity ! This program is designed to promote early literacy skills for ages 18-36 months with an accompanying adult .
Registration is not required .
Readers of all ages will dive into the ocean depths this summer as Castle Shannon Library presents “ Oceans of Possibilities ” during our summer library program .
Programs will be running from June 9 – August 12 . Activities may include ocean-related crafts , art projects , science and engineering experiments , and more .
We will offer reading challenges for all ages again this summer !
Summer Reading Kick-off – Thursday , June 9 , at 12 p . m . All Ages
Join us Thursday , June 9 , from 12 to 2 p . m ., for a yard party kick-off to summer reading ! There will be games , pizza , popcorn , and crafts for the whole family . If we have poor weather the activities will be moved inside ! There is an ocean of possibilities for you at the library !
Preschool Storytime – Thursdays at 11 a . m . Runs until May 19 , and June 16 – August 11
Join us every Thursday for Preschool Storytime at the library . We will listen to stories , sing songs , and sometimes have a craft ! This program is designed to promote early literacy skills for ages 3-5 .
Registration is not required .
Crafterschool – Mondays at 3:30 p . m . Runs until May 16 Ages 5-12 Join us after school for a free craft ! Registration is not required .
