GARDEN CLUB EVENTS !
The Green Tree Garden Club is planning and planting this spring and summer ! Here are just a few highlights of what ’ s happening .
The Annual Mother ’ s Day Geranium Sale , a club tradition , will take place in the Green Tree Fire Hall parking lot at 825 Poplar Street , on Saturday , May 7 , from 9 a . m . to 1 p . m . A variety of colors will be available . Basket Raffle tickets will be sold in the fire hall .
On May 12 , the garden club will hold its meeting at the Green Tree Fire Hall , with an 11 a . m . lunch followed by a noon presentation : Patio Planter Workshop and Container Gardening . Reservations are required and may be made by calling 412.922.8816 .
The 2022 Green Tree Garden Club Spring Festival ( formerly known as Spring ‘ N Things ) on May 14 will now include a Bake Sale , Craft Show , Basket Raffle , Flea Market , an Outdoor Lunch Café and a Plant Sale . Geraniums , annuals , herbs , patio planters and much more will be available . This event will take place in two locations , the Green Tree Municipal Center and the Green Tree Fire Hall .
On June 5 , there will be a Garden Club Tea in the Green Tree Municipal Garden , which is located in the back of the Municipal Center at 10 West Manila Avenue . This very special tea is for club members and their guests and will begin at 1:30 p . m .
A Green Tree Garden Club meeting will be held June 9 at the Green Tree Borough Municipal Garden featuring refreshments and meeting at 6:30 p . m . and a presentation at 7:30 p . m .— 500 HERBS ! by club member Robert Couture .
On June 23 , there will be a field trip to Fellow Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park in Youngstown , Ohio . Reservations are required and may be made by calling 412.922.8816 . The deadline to make a reservation is June 9 .

BASKET RAFFLE !
Mark your calendars for June 8 , when Myrtle Elementary is having an event for the whole community !
It will take place from 4 to 8 p . m . at the school .
There will be at least 10 to 12 baskets to be raffled off , plus wonderful items that will appeal to everyone , including autographed photos from Pittsburgh sports teams !

There will also be craft baskets for kids , and baskets for family game nights ! Visit the flea market for great finds at wonderful prices . A face painter will be at the event , along with at least six food trucks , including ice cream .
Tickets are just $ 2 each , and can be purchased the day of the event , or in advance at Community Day in Castle Shannon . This is the first year of this special event , and it will help to raise funds for field trips and assemblies for the children of Myrtle Elementary School .

The exhibition , which is the boutique collection of the finest works of painter Peter Max , opens for previews on Saturday , May 7 , with a reception from 4 to 7 p . m . The exhibit extends through Sunday , May 15 , with two limited-engagement gallery receptions complimentary to the public on Saturday , May 14 , from 5 to 8 p . m . and Sunday , May 15 , from 12 to 3 p . m .
