A CELEBRATION OF INDEPENDENT
FILM
“A Celebration of Independent Film” was held January 13
at the Hollywood Theater in Dormont, presented by Carnegie
Screenwriters and Somewhere On Earth Productions.
A mini film festival was held, showing eight short films ranging
in genre from drama to comedy and farce.
Featured at the presentation: the premiere of “The Delivery,”
written by John Seibel and directed by Billy (Al) Ingham, and
“Always a Bridesmaid,” written by Wendy Grube and directed by
James Helfrich.
Many of the films will go on to film festivals in California and the
eastern United States.
After the screening, a question and answer period was held
during which writers and directors shared their experiences in
making the films, followed by a champagne reception in the lobby.
