UPMC CHILDREN’ S BEHAVIORAL HEALTH WALK-IN CLINIC
NOW OPEN IN BRIDGEVILLE
Families in Bridgeville and nearby communities now have a new place to turn when their children need help with mental health concerns. UPMC Children’ s Hospital of Pittsburgh has opened its second Behavioral Health Walk-in Clinic at Children’ s South, making it easier for kids and teens to get support— right when they need it.
UPMC Children’ s also operates a pediatric behavioral health walk-in clinic at its main hospital in Lawrenceville. Both locations are part of UPMC’ s commitment to making mental health care more accessible for children and teens across the region. The clinics welcome children and adolescents up to age 18 who are facing non-urgent mental health challenges.
“ Mental health challenges among children and adolescents are rising, and families often struggle to find timely access to care. This second walk-in clinic provides an immediate, compassionate point of access for kids who need support right away,” said Abigail Schlesinger, MD, clinical chief of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Integrated Care at UPMC Western and UPMC Children’ s.
