GREEN TREE NATURE CENTER
The Green Tree Nature Center is a natural escape in the middle of an urban area , located at 1214 Greentree Road ( formal entrance on Crestmont Dr .). There are various trails to explore including the half-mile loop Orchard Trail , Hollow Oak Trail , Double Dip Canyon Trail and more .
Visit this natural area to find your favorite path ! Dogs are welcome on a leash , and all waste must be removed .
CRAFTS FOR KIDS !

IT ’ S ALMOST SPRING : TIME FOR GARDENING !
The Green Tree Garden Club celebrates its 54th anniversary this year ! This active garden club has regular meetings and interesting programs on all things that grow . Members also participate in community beautification projects and community events . The club welcomes both novice gardeners and experienced growers .

WHAT ’ S THE BIG BREWHAHA ?!
The Brewhaha is a great event , with gourmet food , fine wine , craft beer and great company ! The ninth annual Brewhaha will take place March 22 from 6 to 9:30 p . m . at the Mayernik Center at Avonworth Community Park in the North Hills .
Chef Chaz Smith of The Culinary Artists will present a five-course tasting menu that will be expertly crafted to complement the featured drinks .

BREAK OUT THE TARTAN !
The St . Andrew ’ s Society of Pittsburgh will be celebrating all things Scottish with Tartan Day on April 5 at Bethel Presbyterian Church . The church is located at 2999 Bethel Church Road , in Bethel Park .
Tartan Day is Scottish Independence Day , celebrating the Declaration of Arbroath that was signed on April 6 , 1320 , asserting Scotland ’ s sovereignty over England ’ s territorial claims . ( Tartans are the plaid patterns representing different clans of Scotland .)
Admission and parking are free . The event lasts from 10 a . m . to 4:30 p . m . and will feature great food and vendors selling Scottish merchandise and representing area organizations .
