The library appreciates the generosity of its patrons . There are many ways to donate to the library ...
Make a monetary contribution in person , by mail , or online at castleshannonlibrary . org / donate .
Commemorate someone special for birthdays , weddings , anniversaries , graduations , retirement , holidays and other special events . You can also provide a memorial for a loved one . For each gift of $ 25 or more , the library will place a personalized bookplate in a new book in its collection .
Join the Friends of the Castle Shannon Library . Membership dues begin at $ 10 .
Contribute to the Friends of the Castle Shannon Library through the United Way . Please designate the Friends of the Community Library of Castle Shannon and use the code number 10319077 when making your contribution .
Consider a gift to the library in your will .
Library Donations Accepted
The library accepts donations of gently used newer books , audiobooks , DVDs , music CDs , puzzles , board games and video games . Please place items in the GRAY DONATION BIN near the lower-level elevator entrance . Donations are either added to the library ’ s collection or sold at the Friends of the Library Book Sales to support the library .

WINTER WITH GATSBY : COLD- WEATHER READING & BOOK DISCUSSION OF THE GREAT GATSBY
First , read the book between Jan . 6 and Feb . 28 . Then join the in-person book discussion on Thursday , March 27 , at 7 p . m .
Participate in the Adult Winter Reading Activity as the library partners with Community College of Allegheny County for its One Book , One Community reading program .
Anyone who reads The Great Gatsby by F . Scott Fitzgerald and participates in the in-person book discussion will be entered into a prize drawing for one of two gift giveaways . Books for the reading will be available at the library .
