NEW CONSIGNMENT SHOP OPENS!
Runway Repeat is a women’ s designer consignment clothing boutique that has opened at 4136 Library Road in Castle Shannon.

THE SELDOM SEEN GREENWAY
The Seldom Seen Greenway is a short hiking trail that requires a bit of scouting to find, but it packs a lot of visual enjoyment into a quick walk. Sometimes called the Beechview-Seldom Seen Greenway, it’ s located along Saw Mill Run Boulevard, with a parking area near the turnoff for Woodruff Street and the Wabash Tunnel.
Near the parking area, you’ ll see an arched brick tunnel built in 1902! There is also a small waterfall that runs over a ledge with a drop of approximately 3 feet. If you’ re looking for a cool new place to explore on your daily walks, this is it! Be sure to look for the sign pictured above.
FLEA MARKET FINDS!
St. Gregory Byzantine Catholic Church will be holding its Summer Flea Market on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 8 a. m. to noon, at the church hall located at 2005 Mohawk Road in Upper St. Clair.
There will also be a Leftover Sale on Sunday, Aug. 2, from 11 a. m. to 1 p. m.

GREEN TREE GARDEN CLUB IS GROWING
The club promotes the love of gardening and the natural world while reaching out to the community through education, with unique programs by experts each month at its meetings.
The Green Tree Garden Club also maintains the Municipal Center Park perennial garden, rose garden, herb garden and children’ s garden, and places seasonal decorations in the Municipal Center and Green Tree Public Library.
With 86 members in its 55th year, the club also organizes wonderful field trips, spring and fall plant sales, tea parties, and an annual Spring Festival in May( pictured above).

AN OASIS OF WILDLIFE
The Green Tree Nature Center is an oasis in a suburban area for a quick getaway. The area is teeming with native plants and animals to enjoy on an early-morning walk, a lunch break or a reset after a hard day’ s work.
The 18 acres feature forested areas and natural streams with a variety of trails. Dogs are permitted, but they should remain on a leash— and be sure to clean up after them!
If you’ ve only driven past the Green Tree Nature Center and never stopped to explore this local treasure, give it a try.
