The result of this will be improved posture and ability to perform activities of daily living. The class consists of stretching, resistance training, isometric holds, and basic coordination exercises. The Senior Strength, Stability, and Balance class incorporates all of the above plus some standing balance exercises and very light aerobic work. The resistance training hits all major muscle groups and may utilize hand- held weights or resistance bands. Ample resistance bands will be provided and limited hand-held weights will be available. Participants may bring their own weights, which can be anything they are comfortable with, from water bottles to weights of 5 pounds or more.
