IT’ S THE 45TH ANNUAL WINE COUNTRY HARVEST FESTIVAL!
Mark your calendars for one of our region’ s biggest and best festivals, happening Sept. 25 – 27! Sample more than 100 wines in Gibson Park, while tapping your toes to live music. Heard Park will feature horse and carriage rides with activities for kids.
Visit the North East Historical Society for a look at how grapes were harvested and processed in the early days. Several farms will also be offering a chance to pick your own favorite variety of grapes.
Be sure to check out our story on fall foliage tours in the area with“ Autumn Escapes” on page 14 of this issue. This is a wonderful time to take a drive in the country and enjoy the beauty and the aroma of the grape vines heavy with fruit.

THE CULTURAL LOOP
A free trolley runs Saturday evenings in Erie from 5 p. m. to midnight, with stops at the Warner Theatre, Erie Playhouse, The Renaissance Center, Dafmark Dance Theater, the Erie Art Museum, the Sheraton Erie Bayfront and several other destinations.
The Cultural Loop is a partnership between the Erie Metropolitan Transit Authority and the Erie Philharmonic.

The society offers excellent resources for anyone tracing their local roots! With plenty of documents, photos and other artifacts, you may find interesting links to your past.
Harborcreek Historical Society’ s library and exhibits are open on Saturdays from 10 a. m. to 2 p. m. and Wednesdays from noon to 4 p. m. They are also open by appointment.
