annually! Over the two-day event, up to
32 bands can take the stage, engaging the
audience with traditional, contemporary
and gospel bluegrass music. The Ice Jam
attracts bands from all over the tri-state
area, bringing them together to form
what is considered to be one of the area’s
finest showcases of bluegrass talent. All
proceeds from the event are donated to
charity, which, according to some, is the

animal friends survive? Join Gabi Hughes
of the Audubon Society of Western PA to

This unique, 19,000-square-foot
museum (the former home of Charles B.
Brown, III, the museum’s founder) houses
a large collection of music boxes and other
fascinating automatic musical instruments,
as well as many other interesting items.
The building itself provides guests with a
most interesting experience as they pass
from room to room, at times through
hidden doors and secret passages. Almost
the entire south side of the house is glass,
affording fantastic views up and down the
Allegheny River. Admission is only $10
per person. Tours are by appointment only.
