HAMPTON RANKS #18 ON PENNSYLVANIA’S LIST OF SAFEST CITIES SafeWise.com has compiled a list of the 50 safest cities in Pennsylvania, collected from the most recent FBI Crime Report. This independent research focused on cities and towns with a population of 10,000 or greater as of 2011. Hampton Township ranked #18 on the list and had no murders or arson incidents in 2011. Hampton was also chosen as one of the 10 best towns for families in 2010 by Family Circle. ASHLEY NORLING WINS PROVIDENCE HEIGHTS ALPHA SCHOOL’S GEOGRAPHIC BEE Moves One Step Closer to $50,000 College Scholarship Ashley Norling, a seventh grade student at Providence Heights Alpha School, won the school-level competition of the National Geographic Bee in January. Students were required to answer oral questions on the subject. Norling will take a written examination to qualify for the state competition held in April. State winners will participate in the 26th annual National Geographic Bee held in Washington, D.C., in May.
