Local Life Coach
Inspires Hamptonites
to Tackle Their Goals
G
ina Hussar spends a lot of time raising
and inspiring her three kids here in
Hampton. She’s always been one to
motivate those around her, encouraging
friends and neighbors to accomplish their
goals. It wasn’t until last year, however, that
she channeled that gift into becoming a life
coach. She has established a coaching practice
called 30 Seconds to Peace.
Her vocation, she says, involves a mixture
of helping people find their true calling
and then keeping them on track toward
accomplishing it.
“The most important thing you need to
become a life coach is a desire to serve, and an
unwavering faith in human potential,” Hussar
says. Beyond that, it’s all about logistics.
Whether inspiring through phone sessions or
one-on-one meetings, she helps clients break
down large goals into manageable, measurable
daily goals.
“If your end goal has you 20 pounds
thinner, eating healthy and running
marathons, that’s great! But [break] it down,”
she advises. “What would success feel like
today? Running one mile? Skipping one
snack? Doing just one thing a day that moves
you closer to your goal will start that positive
cycle of achieving. Action leads to a sense of
accomplishment, which leads to feeling good
and empowered, which leads you back to
taking further action.”

What sort of challenges are Hussar’s clients
in Hampton currently working on?
“Most people come to me because they
are at a crossroads,” she says. “The clock
is ticking, 40 is right around the corner or
already passed, the kids aren’t babies anymore
and at some point they realize that they’ve
been living on autopilot and have never even
stopped to consider their own fulfillment and
happiness.”
In these cases, Hussar’s job is to help
people “turn their mid-life crisis into mid-life
magic by guiding them to reconnect with
their passion, purpose and identity.”
As her clients approach their goals, she
works with them to get clarity about their
achievements and how it will change their life.
For instance, if the goal is to start a business,
be really clear on how that will change
your life. Will you feel less anxiety? More
freedom? More prosperity? It’s important to
know that, because on every journey you are
going to hit resistance. There will be tough
days, unexpected curve balls, inconvenient
obligations and it will feel overwhelming.
Holding onto the vision of your end outcome
will sustain you on those days.
Honesty about what’s holding a client back
is central to the process. “Most of the time
people are afraid of change because the 䁑
