45 YEARS as a Living History Museum .

On July 15 , The Depreciation Lands Museum celebrated
45 YEARS OF
LIVING HISTORY IN HAMPTON TOWNSHIP
with the peaceful atmosphere of an old-fashioned country ice cream social . Traditionally , the social was an opportunity to relax the social code and visit with friends and neighbors . Ice cream , birthday cake and lemonade were complimentary with paid admission to the museum . Attendees took a trip back to colonial times for a day of treats , special demonstrations and lots of hands-on activities !
The “ Fleece to Shawl ” demonstration , presented in collaboration with the Butler Spinners and Weavers Guild , and a family-friendly concert presented by the Pittsburgh Historical Music Society and the
Wayward Companions were additional highlights of the day .
