Hampton Celebrates
Class of 2017 at Annual
Commencement
Ceremony
The 2017 Commencement Ceremony
took place on Thursday, June 8 at Fridley
Field. A total of 253 seniors participated in
commencement, with Everett Hinchberger
46 Hampton
delivering the welcome message and class
profile.
Other student speakers include Adam
Seiff, who delivered the first of three
commencement addresses titled “Am I
Supposed to be Here?” He was followed
by Zoey Auld with “Debt of Gratitude”
and Lindsey Dorenkott with “Defining our
Times.”
The 2017 Distinguished Alumnus was
Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Dan Polanosky,
who addressed graduates following the
welcome message. Lt. Col. Polanosky is an
Allison Park native and a 1986 Hampton
graduate. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force
following graduation, where he served
for 26 years as a combat-experienced
command fighter pilot. Following his
retirement as a command fighter pilot,
he served an additional four years as
the Associate Director of Safety (Senior
Civilian) for the Air National Guard at
Joint Base Andrews in Maryland, where
