T
he Salvation Army’s Back to School Bash, held
in August, brought hundreds of students, most
from Greensburg Salem School District, to St.
Clair Park to receive tons of new school supplies to
start the year! Students received new backpacks,
hygiene packs, haircuts, shoes, and more while
enjoying a fun-filled day to celebrate the new school
year.
GS faculty and Interactors helped distribute
backpacks, face painted, and helped visitors to
choose a new book. Students were excited to see
the welcoming faces of their teachers and principals
and get in the back-to-school spirit!

last August in Atlantic City, NJ! Her duals team placed first
in the tournament, and Riley won freestyle and folkstyle

Riley started her wrestling career years ago and is the

accomplishments
and can’t wait
to see what the
future holds for this
Golden Lion all-star!
Administrators, school board members, students,
and the community gathered at Offutt Field in
August for the presentation of the stadium’s
new turf, compliments of a $150,000 grant from
the Pittsburgh Steelers and the NFL Foundation
Grassroots Program. The funding enabled the
district to replace deteriorated field with a new
synthetic turf system this summer.
