Middle School SCA officers (l-r)
Audrey Johnson, Emma Andrasko,
Jordan Mitchell, and Abby Priolo
strike a pose with the completed
Pink Ribbon quilt. Students
purchased 4 x 4 squares of fabric and
decorated them with personal and
inspirational messages during Breast
Cancer Awareness Month. It was
then assembled by SCA president
Jordan Mitchell and her mother.
After initially raising $100 for the
American Cancer Society, the SCA
decided to raise more money by
raffling off the quilt at the upcoming
24-hour Greensburg Relay for Life on
May 31stand June 1st at Hempfield
High School stadium. Raffle tickets
will be on sell at GSMS as well as
during the event — $2 per ticket or
$5 for 3 tickets.
