Attention homeschool families ! GHAL is offering a special program just for you ! Children will be split into two age groups , 4 to 8 years old and 9 to 12 years old to explore , learn and socialize with other homeschool families . Each student will participate in an age-appropriate and fun educational activity . More than one child per family is permitted to attend . Please sign up each child for their corresponding age group .
Party in Storybook Forest ( IN-PERSON ) Ages 3 to 11 years old Tuesday , March 1 , 4:30 to 7:30 p . m .
Come celebrate stories with your library friends ! This party is a celebration of all stories and children ’ s books with fun , games , crafts and other activities for kids . Children will collect fun activities featuring favorite books while celebrating reading together . Families , sign up for a time to arrive and walk through the library ’ s magical storybook forest . Please sign up by family and include number of children in the notes .
Introduction to American Sign Language for Kids ( VIRTUAL — ZOOM ) Ages 7 to 12 years old Every Thursday , March 3-24 , 6 to 7 p . m .
In partnership with the Center for Deaf and Hearing Services , Inc ., instructor Hannah Ahearn , a local college student who is deaf , will teach the basics of how to communicate using American Sign Language ( ASL ) and discuss Deaf culture . Children will be able to borrow a free textbook from the library for the duration of the class . Because participants continually will be building upon skills learned , weekly participation is important . Please register only if you are able to commit to attending at least three of the four sessions . This virtual program will be held via Zoom . You must include your email when you sign up . The library will email you a link to participate in the program via Zoom . Families will be notified to pick up materials for this program .

Create your own jewelry with a metal stamping kit ! Choose a shape and hammer a word or phrase that ’ s meaningful to you on the shape . Add charms to create a completely personal piece of jewelry !
