Mrs. Holtzer has hosted a Thanksgiving feast with her students since 2001. She feels it is a nice way to teach more about the holiday and experience the traditional foods they learn about. According to Mrs. Holtzer,“ Some years the students even bring in and cook the food. The students love preparing for and participating in the event!” The students also learn how to greet guests, use appropriate table manners, and interact with others during a large social gathering. It is a favorite activity students and staff look forward to every year and hope that Mrs. Holtzer continues for many more!
