Children’ s Programs
Storytime for 2s( age 2 years) Wednesdays through May 3 from 10 to 10:30 a. m.
This storytime is for parent and child— one-on-one. Come and enjoy this time of fun and education with your toddler.
Baby Lapsit( ages 8 months to 2 years) Thursdays through May 4 from 10 to 10:30 a. m.
An interactive program of rhymes, fingerplays and stories for your baby and you!
Pancake Story Breakfast( ages 6 to 10 years) Saturday, Feb. 11, 10 to 11:15 a. m.
Join us for games, stories and pancakes. Space is limited.
Story and Craft: Tar Beach( ages 8 to 11 years) Monday, Feb. 13, from 6 to 7:30 p. m.
Join us for a story and craft focusing on the book Tar Beach. After the story, children will make quilt memory art pieces in the style of Faith Ringgold.
3 to 5 Year Old Story Hour( ages 3 to 5 years) Tuesdays, Feb. 14 through Apr. 11, from 10 to 11:15 a. m.
Come for fun with circle time, stories, crafts, treats and more!
Read to Kaya and Friends( therapy dog program), Saturdays at 10 a. m. n Feb. 18 n Mar. 18 n Apr. 15 n May 20
This program is for anyone( 3 years and older) who would enjoy or benefit from reading to a therapy dog. Bring along a favorite book or two or choose from our selection and spend some time reading to the therapy dogs. No registration is necessary.
Homeschoolers( ages 6 to 10 years): n Cinderella Around the World Thursday, Feb. 23, at 1 p. m.
Did you know that there are other Cinderella stories told by different countries and cultures? We will look at a few different versions, explore how they compare and contrast to the version that we’ re familiar with, and play some games.
n Parents Workshop Thursday, Feb. 23, at 1 p. m.
While your children are in the Cinderella Around the World program, join us for a look at the library databases and find out how you can use these resources with your children at home! This month we will focus on Pronunciator( foreign language learning), Book Flix, Elementary, Middle and High School Research.
n Mystery Fun and Games Thursday, Mar. 16, at 1 p. m.
Join us for a story, STEM activity and more!
n Parents Workshop Thursday, Mar. 16, at 1 p. m.
While your children are in Mystery Fun and Games, join us for a look at the library databases and find out how you can use these resources with your children at home! This month we will focus on Science Reference Center, SIRS Discoverer, and the Cyber Smarts collection.
n Earth Day Thursday, Apr. 20, at 1 p. m.
Join us for a look at Earth Day with books, activities and a craft!
Oooey-Gooey, Gross and Goopy!( ages 6 to 10 years)
A Science Exploration series featuring weird, slimy experiments! Join us for some science fun! Mondays from 6 to 7:30 p. m.

Snowflake Bentley. n Mar. 27: This program will focus on slugs! n Apr. 17: This program will focus on volcanoes! n May 22: This program will focus on mummies!
A Dr. Seuss Birthday Party!( all ages) Thursday, Mar. 2, from 6 to 7:30 p. m.
Join us for fun and games, songs, crafts and cake as we celebrate Dr. Seuss! Registration is not required to attend this program.
Chess Tournament Junior Division: K through 4th Grades Senior Division: 5th through 8th Grades Saturday, Mar. 4, arrive at 9 a. m. Play begins at 9:30 a. m. and will continue until all participants have played five rounds.
This program will be in the lower level program room. Three trophies will be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in both divisions. The top two players from each division will be invited to the County Tournament. Specific details will be given to the winners. Space is limited.
Sensory Friendly Storytimes( ages 3 years and older)
Join us for an inclusive storytime that will encourage a sensory experience for all ages.
