PROFILES
Strengthening communication as well as setting and
tackling measurable goals are two driving forces for
District 9980 Rotary Foundation chair Trish Boyle.
And, given the importance of the Rotary Foundation
to our organisation and the work we do, Trish’s
objectives are of significance to us all. As well as
serving as district Foundation chair, Trish is also our
zone’s rotary Foundation assistant co-ordinator.
Trish has served in numerous other roles at club,
district, zone and international level during her 20
years in Rotary, including:

As our Rotary Foundation chair for 201617, Trish is aiming to:
• Set committee goals to help achieve
the clubs’ goals for the year, and
monitor progress toward them
• Ensure all clubs have a Foundation
committee
• Ensure all clubs have at least two
Foundation goals loaded in My
Rotary
• Promote and encourage all clubs to
apply for district and global grants
for significant projects
• Continue to support annual giving by
encouraging clubs to fundraise
and contribute a minimum of $130
per member per annum
• Support training for presidents-elect
on the Rotary Foundation
• Conduct inspirational, Foundationfocused club programmes, either
district wide or at club level,
including a grant management
seminar at district assembly
• Share Foundation stories in district
and club communications, as well as
social media
In her role as zone assistant co-ordinator,
Trish is focused on:
• Supporting districts to have goals
entered into My Rotary
• Developing bequest societies –
supplying a step-by-step process
• Establishing regular communication
with all three districts
• Supporting effective Rotary
Foundation education
• Helping develop effective drive and
support for End Polio Now campaign
• Ensuring all districts have focused
Foundation centennial activities
