CARISBROOK PROJECT JUST
The strong relationship forged between District 9980
and the Rotary Children’s Ward and Neonatal Unit at
Dunedin Hospital continues to grow and strengthen.
A recent round of scholarships was presented as
part of the continued Rotary support of child and
maternal health within our district.
The scholarships, awarded by the Southern District
Health Board as part of International Nurses’ Day
celebrations, were funded from proceeds from the
Carisbrook project. Recipients will put their award
prizes toward professional development.
On hand to present the scholarships was Rotary
Carisbrook Project chair Brendon Bearman, of the
Rotary Club of Milton.
From everyone in District 9980, a warm
congratulations and huge thanks for the amazing
work you do to the following recipients:
Jane Craig-Pearson, who was awarded $1000 for
overall excellence. Jane works in the Children’s Unit
and is an outstanding leader and role model.
