Take a walk back in history and
tour the Passavant House, home to
a large collection of items relating to
the Passavant family and its place in
Zelienople’s history. Also included on the
tour is the Buhl House; with its 10 rooms
it houses a museum for the Buhl family
and for the town. The tour is $5 per

The January Ice Jam is a free family-
friendly event held annually where up to
32 bands can take the stage engaging the
audience with traditional, contemporary
and gospel bluegrass music. The Ice Jam
attracts bands from all over the tri-state
area, bringing them together to form
what is considered to be one of the area’s
finest showcases of bluegrass talent. All
proceeds from the event are donated to

as the Principal Conductor of The
Pittsburgh Pops from 1995 until his

Christmas Bird Count is an annual early-
winter bird census, where thousands of
volunteers across North America go out
to count birds. Participate in this valuable
documentation of bird species for North

The 12th Annual Frigid Five Miler
will be a 5-mile run through scenic
North Park beginning at the Lodge and
using the fairly challenging Lodge Loop,

ceremony and a post-race party with
music and great food featuring a hot
