Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices The Preferred Realty – Fox Chapel Office recently held its annual Holiday Photo Shoot , where clients and members of the community could come to have free holiday photos taken by a professional photographer , complete with a backdrop and props . The event was hugely successful , with families and adorable children dressed in festive clothing lined up to take advantage of the free photos . The Syria Shriners dazzle audiences with their colorful little cars and glittery hats , a highlight of parades across the country . But , it ’ s fun with a serious purpose . Money raised by the precision drivers — and likewise the circus performances , musical pageants and caravans — all goes to support Shriners Hospitals for Children and Wounded Warriors . There are 16 Shriners free-care hospitals in the U . S .; those closest to Pittsburgh are located in Erie , Cincinnati and Philadelphia .
Terry and Cathy Steinhauser will kick-off their presentation with a short video , then describe in greater detail the purpose of the Syria Shrine and the important work and research of the hospitals . Terry is the First Ceremonial Master of the Pittsburgh-area Syria Shrine , headquartered in Harmarville . Cathy is active in the ladies auxiliary branch of the organization .
The Steinhausers will also explain how someone becomes a Shriner , joining the ranks of the 5,000 + members of the Pittsburgh-area lodge . The Syria Mosque , with its distinctive red onion-shaped

Joe Mineo Creative , a nationally recognized event design company headquartered in Canfield , Ohio , has opened an office in Aspinwall .
From this local studio , Joe Mineo Creative will design and produce events ranging from corporate affairs to nonprofit galas to personal celebrations , including weddings , birthdays and Mitzvahs .
“ The demand for our services from Pittsburgh and cities east really made it necessary for us to have a studio here ,” Joe Mineo explains . “ We ’ re proud of the Pittsburgh clients we serve , and we are eager to develop an even larger Pittsburgh presence as people experience the events we design .”
After studying theater at New York University , Mineo re-wrote his script when he landed a job at a floral shop . One year later , he owned a floral company that evolved to become Something New Floral and Events . In mid-2015 , he introduced Joe Mineo Creative .
