Matt Kieffer
Little did Matt Kieffer know when he told his dad that he would help him in the summer, that his commitment would last forty years, and counting. Matthew and Melinda Kieffer are the current owners of Kieffer Optical. Matthew’ s father, David Kieffer, worked with Doig Optical as a manager of the Aspinwall location for 30 years. In 1986, David bought the store and started David Kieffer Optical. This is when Matt joined his father to help out for what he thought was only for the summer. Sixteen years later, Matt and Mindy purchased the store and started Kieffer Optical. Fast forward to today and Matt and Melinda continue to grow what has become a treasure in the community.
Kieffer Optical has many of Pittsburgh’ s finest ophthalmologists who put their trust in Kieffer and have referred years of patients to them for their eyewear needs. In some cases, Matt and the Kieffer

Doctor McDaniel
Dr. Mark McDaniel has been doing eye exams for over 40 years and has been with Kieffer Optical since 2005. Fellow optician, Donis Prignon, has worked for Kieffer Optical since 2002 and has over 32 years in the industry. Tisha Rollinger, the Kieffer receptionist, has been with them for over 8 years. Tiffany Sakaluk is another optician who has been with Kieffer for two years but has 33 years of experience in the industry.
Anyone can sell a pair of glasses, but when you come to Kieffer, these individuals thrive on customer satisfaction. What makes them stand apart is their expertise and service to their customers. Kieffer Optical carries top brands of optical frames and uses Zeiss lenses and coatings for most of their work.
