AT A GLANCE
The student-athletes in the class of 2019
racked up some impressive statistics during
their four years.*
• There have been 18 teams with perfect
section records, including boys’ cross
country (two), girls’ cross country (two), field
hockey (three), boys’ golf, girls’ golf, girls’
soccer (two), girls’ tennis (two), girls’ lacrosse,
and boys’ tennis (four).
• 24 teams were named section champions.
• The seniors participated in 1,285 total
athletic games and the teams won 818 of
those contests. The seniors participated in
829 section games with 520 wins.
• The girls’ cross country team won a PIAA
championship, and the boys’ tennis team
was PIAA runner-ups. A total of 11 teams
qualified for PIAA playoffs.
• Diver Jonah Cagley broke every school
record, was a three-time WPIAL champ, and
advanced to PIAAs all four years.
• Seniors Sarena Seeger and Annika Urban
have also broken school records and were
part of the team that won the PIAA cross
country championship for the first time in
school history.
• Over four years, more than 20 seniors have
qualified for PIAAs as individuals in their
respective sports.
• WPIAL team champions were boys’ tennis
(four) and field hockey (two).
• With its fourth WPIAL Class AAA title, the
boys’ tennis team became one of only two
teams in the history of the WPIAL to earn
that many consecutive championships.
• Kate Carnevale has become the fastest
sprinter in school history and has broken six
school records.
