he adage “Don’t judge a book by its cover” truly is
accurate when potential buyers and realtors view your
home. When an individual seriously starts to consider
a home to purchase, he/she will search the internet, view your home
virtually from the “exterior” or drive by your home several times prior
to making an appointment to see inside.
For anyone considering selling their home I am providing tips for
increased curb appeal to help add value to your home.
A Welcoming Front Entrance. The front door and the path leading
up to it should extend a warm welcome. The path should be
manicured with an unobstructed view, weed free, have the lawn
edged, and have no stumbling hazards. Freshen up the door with
a new stain or glossy paint or clean the glass to ensure your door is
smudge free. Polish the handle and locks or replace them if they are
corroded. Doorbells must be in working order and a large knocker is
