Symptoms of age-related hearing loss
✔ ringing in the ears
✔ asking people to repeat themselves

✔ difficulty hearing the voices of females or children
✔ difficulty understanding conversations over the telephone
✔ turning up the volume on the television or radio louder than
normal
Symptoms of age-related hearing loss typically begin with an inability
to hear high-pitched sounds.
• changes in the way that the brain processes speech and sound
• damage to the tiny hairs in the ear that are responsible for
transmitting sound to the brain
• loss of balance or falling
Age-related hearing loss can also be caused by other issues,
including:
• diabetes or smoking
• poor circulation
• exposure to loud noises
• use of certain medications
• family history of hearing loss

Association. Her diverse background spans three states (Ohio,
West Virginia and Pennsylvania) and includes private practice,
ENT offices, and clinical and hospital settings. Leslie is
dedicated to providing quality service to her patients and committed to helping
improve their quality of life by helping them to hear their best. She resides in Peters
Township with her husband and 14-year-old son.
Debra L. Greenberger is the owner of Eartique. She received
her master’s degree in Audiology (Hearing Science) from
Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and she is
certified by the American Speech and Hearing Association.
Debra has been diagnosing hearing loss and fitting hearing
aids for over 25 years.
