Hearing Loss and Risk of Falling – People with 25 dB hearing loss( which is borderline normal to a mild hearing loss) are about three times more likely to fall. Falls are the leading cause of injury in seniors. Hearing loss decreases your awareness of your environment and can increase your cognitive load.
