The Three Rivers Educational Technology Conference( TRETC) drew more than 600 teachers, K-12 administrators, industry experts, and higher education decision-makers to Dorseyville Middle School in January through a partnership between the Fox Chapel Area School District and the Pittsburgh Technology Council. The event,“ Rewiring Learning: Building Bridges & Strengthening Connections,” aimed to advance the integration of educational technology through speakers, interactive sessions, and panel discussions. Topics focused on the use of artificial intelligence, creating a cyber workforce, hands-on robotics, coding in the classroom, and makerspaces as innovative learning hubs.

The day also featured a showcase where students highlighted their STEAM-themed projects.
Jeff Remington, the STEM outreach liaison for the Penn State Center for Science and the Schools, and a nationally and globally recognized education leader, presented the keynote address.
RJ Gillner gives a presentation on generational sticking points in technology. Gillner facilitated the session with his mother, Cathie, a computer science teacher at Dorseyville Middle School.
