As life expectancy increases, many women will live as long after menopause as they did through their reproductive years, requiring physicians to carefully manage the special needs of this group. Join in a frank discussion of gender- specific issues that affect senior women as Dr. Bonk explains the importance of screening and disease prevention. She will also discuss how gynecological-related problems can impact daily function, well-being, and even longevity. Audience members are encouraged to bring their questions. Dr. Catherine Bonk has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology in Atlanta for over 25 years. A graduate of Emory University Medical School, she is on staff at Emory Decatur Hospital and also serves on the hospital’s board of directors. She’s been honored many times as one of Atlanta Magazine’s ‘Top Docs’. AAUW advances equity for women and girls through advocacy, philanthropy, education, and research.
