֔ ם ֶלÑ ־ ְל Ö֛ ְצ Ö֥ וּמִ מּֽ וֹלַדְ תְּ Ö֖ וּמִ ֵבּית אָ בִ יÖ אֶָאל ־ הָ ֖ רץ אֲ שֶׁ ֥ ר יַּו ר֤ ֹ אמֶ
׃ָּ ךֽ ֶא The Unconditional said to Abram,“ Go forth from your native land and from your father’ s house to the land that I will show you”— Genesis 12:1
ר אַ בְ רָ ם֙ ֶרץ עַ֚ ד מְ ק֣ וֹם שְׁ ֖ ד וֹן מוֹרֶ ֑ ה ֖ י ָאז בָּ אָ ֽ רץ ׃
֤ א ֔ ם ר֕ ֹ א ֶ מ ֲע Ö ֔ ן ֶ א ת ־ ָ ה ָ ֣ א ר ץ ַ ה ת֑ זּ ֹ א ן ָ שׁ ֙ ם ִמ ָ ו ֖ ה
לָ֥ ֶא ה אֵ י ו ׃ ק מִ שָּׁ֜ ם הָ הָ֗ ית ־ אֵ ֖ ל ֽ ית ־ אֵ ֤ ל ִמ םָ֙יּ ֣ י מִ קֶּ֔ ן ־ מִ֤ ָשׁם ַל י הֹ שֵׁ֖ ָר א בְּ ֥ ם ֽ ָו ה ׃ ֣ ע ֔ ם וֹÑ וֹעַ `
Abram passed through the land as far as the site of Shechem, at the terebinth of Moreh. The Canaanites were then in the land. The Unconditional appeared to Abram and said,“ I will assign this land to your offspring.” And he built an altar there to GOD who had appeared to him. From there he moved on to the hill country east of Bethel and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; and he built there an altar to The Unconditional and invoked the Unconditional by name. Then Abram journeyed by stages toward the Negeb.
