We offer camps that are sure to excite the sports enthusiast, the game show inclined and even the baking novice in your child! ” Parents have their choice of various week long camps to participate in. Each camp runs from Monday thru Friday with an option to enroll for three to five days each any week. With campers from Kindergarten through 5th grade enrolled, the camp counselors work to group campers together based on age as well as provide the oldest campers with junior counselor rights and responsibilities. Twice weekly, Tuesday and Thursday, campers will be taking field trips to places of interest to keep campers on their toes and fill each day with excitement and fun. Camp Little House offers a balance of games and FUN with outdoor time, canoeing, fishing, activities and lots of SUN! Returning this year after enjoying high demand and spectacular success with campers are Clue Camp, Nerf Battle Camp, and Olympics 2019 with a twist. Clue Camp is like living out the popular board game, where campers work as a team to figure out whodunnit. Nerf Battle - hugely popular with all kids of all ages - encouraging competing campers to gain points and practice their skills through challenges and obstacles. Campers can bring their own nerf guns and archery equipment, or use those provided on site. New this year are DIY Design and A.R.T. Art. In these camps, kids will do everything from repurposing old items into new ones, modeling clay sculptures, building with hardware, to throwing paint balloons, and creating with a variety of mediums. Your art-inclined camper will love these weeks! Little House Double Dare Camp is a new and exciting addition to camp - based on the mess-tacular Nickelodeon game show. Little House Double Dare will have campers diving in vats of spaghetti to find flags and picking a giant nose filled with whipped cream. Activities and competitions change daily, but the odds of getting slimed are always high with plenty of chances to get messy. All Sorts of Science combines as much science as possible into a week with chemistry, physics, astronomy and more. From bubbling experiments to blowing things up outright, from slime creations to building simple machines; the campers will explore chemical changes, create exothermic reactions and learn to build and use simple machines in all sorts of science. Lastly, with the enthusiasm seen during last year’s Cupcake Wars Camp, Little House has split that camp into two new ones - Sweet Treats and Pizza Parlor. Kids will experience two separate weeks based on making and cooking food, creating candy pops, chocolate pops, slinging dough and creating recipes for the most delicious breakfast pizzas. “Summer should be a time of fun and friends.” Osterman said. “Our Camp provides opportunities to fill summer with tech-free fun, you bring the friends! After-all, that’s what summer is all about!” If any or all of these camps sound like something your child would love to participate in this summer, registration is already underway and runs through May 1. While there are plenty of slots, registering as early as possible is the only way to guarantee your child has a chance to experience the unique camps that only Little House has to offer! n Registration information and more camp details are available at Little House Learning Center’s website - littlehouselearningcenter.com.
