THE WOODVILLE EXPERIENCE
The National Historic Landmark home of General John Neville is visited by people from all over the U . S . each year . Residents from the local community are fortunate to have such a living piece of history close by . It was built from 1775-1785 .
Many wonderful events are held at the property each year . ( Woodville was featured in our Summer edition of IN Chartiers Valley , which you can see online at icmags . com .)
Neville House Associates is a nonprofit organization that owns and maintains Woodville as a living history museum . Membership helps to ensure the continued maintenance of the house , barn and outbuildings , as well as the hosting of excellent programs for all ages to experience .

RENNERDALE VFD FOR THE COMMUNITY
The Rennerdale Volunteer Fire Department ( RVFD ) was established in 1944 , and is an all-volunteer service , comprised of friends and neighbors who give many hours of their time to ensure the safety of Collier Township and neighboring communities . RVFD has answered more than 400 calls this year alone !
The rising costs of firefighting equipment , turn-out gear for the firefighters , training , and upkeep for the fire station itself all present financial challenges . A major leak at the station had to be repaired , as well as new bathrooms installed .
The beautiful property on which the station sits was donated to the fire department in the mid-1950s . The small duck pond needs restoration with a freshwater source and replacement of the waterfall and fountain . RVFD would also like to add more benches and enlarge the picnic area so that all members of the community can enjoy this lovely area !
The department has reached $ 30K of its $ 40K goal to accomplish these improvements , which will benefit the entire community . Soon , residents will receive Annual Fund Drive letters . If you are able to donate , the fire department would greatly appreciate your support . You may also help by participating in the active raffles that are featured on the RVFD website at rennerdalevfd . com .
Also , the firefighters will be holding their annual Fish Fry beginning March 7 . This is a wonderful opportunity to get out with friends and neighbors to enjoy a fish sandwich while supporting your local fire department .
And lastly , if you are able to devote your time and talents to the fire department , volunteers are always welcome , with a variety of ways to serve your community . For more information , visit rennerdalevfd . com .
