BRIDGEVILLE DAY ON THE AVENUE
One of the most fun days of the year is coming! Bridgeville Day on the Avenue is taking place June 20, from 11 a. m. to 5 p. m. on Washington Avenue.
This event combines live music, dancing, local craft and food vendors, activities for kids, and a car cruise featuring classic to custom cars. Join your friends while making some new ones. Don’ t miss the celebration!

EXPERIENCE WOODVILLE!
There are plenty of great events coming up at Woodville this summer. Mark your calendars for the Juneteenth celebration on June 19 at 6 p. m.
Then, on July 19, Woodville’ s Whiskey Rebellion Day event takes place from noon to 5 p. m. with reenactments of the Battle of Bower Hill. On July 25, at 11 a. m., Woodville will celebrate our nation’ s birthday with a special presentation.

BRIDGEVILLE TURNS 125!
Bridgeville’ s 125th anniversary is here and the community is celebrating! The kick-off event for the week will be the Roaring Twenties Dinner & Dance at the Chartiers Room on Saturday, July 18.
The speakeasy’ s secret doors will open at 5 p. m., and there will be dancing until 11 p. m., with The Rick Purcell Trio providing jazz specialties all night. Dinner will be catered by PJ Deli, and each ticket to the event includes two specialty drinks.( There will also be a cash bar.)
Don’ t forget to wear a flapper costume or dress like a dapper gentleman of the day. There will be an award for best costumes.
Tickets are still available as of this writing, and can be purchased at the Bridgeville Borough Building or the Bridgeville Historical Society. But get your ticket soon, since space is limited!
KANE WOODS NATURE AREA
Kane Woods is a unique area in that it is not a township or county park. It is a nature conservancy located in Scott Township that offers a wonderful opportunity for hiking, bird watching, photography and more.
All seasons are special at Kane Woods, but perhaps none more than summer when the forest comes alive with small animals, wildflowers in the meadow, and deer, wild turkeys, turtles and foxes appearing in the

This historic church is older than the U. S. itself! Any celebration of our nation’ s birthday should include a trip to this church where our earliest settlers worshipped.
It will hold an Open House on June 21, June 28, July 5 and July 12 from 1 to 4 p. m. There will also be a special open house on Whiskey Rebellion Day, July 19, from 1 to 4 p. m.
