BRIDGEVILLE BOROUGH DEBUTS NEW WEBSITE
The Borough of Bridgeville has a fresh, redesigned website for residents to refer to when looking for information and events. The official website address is bridgevilleboro. com and it gives users the ability to sign up for text alerts and find out about important matters of concern to residents. The borough is also working on an official Facebook page, which will be rolled out in the near future.
BRIDGEVILLE BOROUGH’ S DAY ON THE AVENUE
Bridgeville Borough’ s Day on the Avenue will be Saturday, June 17, from 11 a. m. to 7 p. m. The day includes food, fun, games, music, a car cruise, raffles and more. Following the annual street fair, everyone is welcome to attend the Bridgeville Athletic Association’ s Movie Night at Dusk in Chartiers Park. To volunteer, call 412.221.6012.

Upcoming Special Programs for Teens Tuesdays and Thursdays, 1 p. m. Teens, joins us this summer for all things geeky, crafty, bookish and more. Tuesdays will be our recurring programs: # workinprogress( writing club), # currentlyreading( book club), and coloring. Thursdays will feature special programs like tea blending, chalk poetry, and making toys for shelter pets.

Families are invited to kick off our summer fun with an entertaining and interactive magic show from Magician TJ Hill!
Mother Goose Storytime Wednesdays, June 14- July 26, 10 a. m. Babies and toddlers can join us with an attentive adult each week for lively stories, songs and rhymes. Registration is appreciated.
Family Storytime Thursdays, June 15- July 27, 10 a. m. Families are invited to bring a blanket and snack for a weekly storytime. Books and activities are geared toward preschoolers, but siblings are welcome. Registration is required.
Y on the Fly! Wednesday, June 21, 1 p. m. Join us as the YMCA visits for a fun 90 minutes of outdoor play and games followed by a healthy snack.
Pillowcase Project Tuesday, June 27, 6 p. m. Kids are invited to help make fun pillowcases to donate to patients at Children’ s Hospital! Recommended for kids 8 and up; if no prior sewing experience, an adult partner will be helpful. Participants can bring one yard each of two different coordinating materials – please select 100 % cotton, such as quilting fabric. Space is very limited; registration is required.
Kids Paint Wednesday, July 12 or 19, 6:30 p. m. Kids in grades 2-6 are invited to explore their creative side as they follow along with an instructor in this step-by-step painting class with a seasonal theme! Both classes will feature the same painting so children should sign up for just one date. Registration is required; space is limited.
Detective Science Monday, July 15, 1 p. m. Kids entering grades 1-6 can use science to crack a case in this workshop led by Mad Science! Analyzing evidence will help pinpoint the perpetrator and solve a mystery. Registration is required; space is limited.
Science in the Summer July 31- Aug. 3, 10 or 11:30 a. m. Thanks to the generous support of GlaxoSmithKline, we are pleased to offer the Science in the Summer program led by teachers from the Carnegie Science Center! Kids entering grades 2-6 are eligible to participate, but must commit to all four sessions. Registration is required.

Bring a canned good as a donation to a local food pantry and you will be entered into a raffle for a prize!
