8th GradE Grade Goes to
Washington! hartiers Valley CHARTIERS VALLEY SCHOOL DISTRICT NEWS
The CVMS 8th graders recently continued a long-standing tradition by traveling to Washington, D. C. for their annual class trip. Throughout the day, they explored many of the landmarks and memorials they had studied in class, including the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, World War II Memorial, and the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. Students also visited several Smithsonian museums, where they saw everything from historic aircraft at the National Air and Space Museum to the Hope Diamond at the National Museum of Natural History.
The annual Washington, D. C. trip has long been a memorable part of the 8th-grade experience at CVMS, giving students the
36 CHARTIERS VALLEY opportunity to bring history to life while spending time together outside the classroom. They returned home with plenty of photos, souvenirs, and memories from one of their final traditions before moving on to high school.
