Sixth Grade Academic Tributes
In addition to missing educational field trips and spring activities, the sixth graders at Carnegie and Crafton elementary schools
missed the end-of-year recognition programs due to COVID-19 and the school closure. The program recognizes those who
have excelled academically and celebrates the transition from elementary to middle school. Though not present for face-toface
accolades, the following students deserve a hand for their academic efforts and attendance records. High honor roll
recognition is given to students who have consistently maintained a 3.8 to 4.0 grade point average. Individuals who maintained
a grade average of 3.3 or higher during the school year are acknowledged as honor roll recipients.

An orientation day for incoming seventh graders is planned at the junior-senior high school in August and will
provide ample time for students to explore the lay-out of the building, find their assigned lockers and practice
opening the combination. In addition, a meet-and-greet with teachers and administration will be offered with the
opportunity for students and parents to ask questions and review guidelines.

Thanks to the efforts of the Crafton elementary sixth grade
parent committee, money was raised and donated to print
congratulatory signs for all the sixth graders who proudly
placed them in the yard. Pictured L-R, Sarah Loney and Lena
