Meanwhile, the men, who

quickly determine the reason
they were invited and realize
one of them could be Sophie’s
father. As complications
ensue from a sequence of
misunderstandings, Sophie
and Sky’s wedding and
relationship is jeopardized.
Nevertheless, true love
16 prevails, with a twist. Sophie,
while standing at the altar,
suddenly realizes she isn’t ready for
marriage and calls a halt to the wedding
ceremony. Sam seizes the chance to
express his undying love for Donna
and proposes, preventing the wedding
preparations from going to waste.
Surprisingly, Donna agrees, and they are
married. Sophie and Sky look on joyfully
and then depart for a cross-country
tour to see the world. The show ends on
happy note as the pair discover what is
truly in their hearts and Donna and Sam
discover the course of true love.
Mamma Mia! opened on Broadway
